There are many great reasons to become involved with Scanning - Here are just a few:

Public Safety: Fire, Police, Highway Patrol listening can help keep you and your family safe

Weather: S.A.M.E. reports can guide your travel and warn you of approaching storm activity

Emergency Operations: Know what's happening in emergencies, like floods, fires and earthquakes

Are you a Race Fan: NASCAR Races are even more fun when you can hear your favorite teams in action

When Television and the local radio stations are scrambling during an emergency, or not on the air at all, Scanners will pick-up the activity that could save your life and the ones you care about.

S.A.M.E. is NOAA’s coded emergency weather signals that identify a specific geographic area affected by an emergency.
